Privacy
The short version
We collect as little as we can. You can play without an account, and we never sell your data.
What’s stored in your browser
Your puzzle progress, a random anonymous ID (so your streak survives a refresh), your light or dark theme choice and whether you’ve seen the welcome tips. This uses your browser’s local storage, not tracking cookies. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we store on our servers
For each puzzle you finish: the time taken, hints and checks used, and the date. If you sign in, your email address (or your LinkedIn or Google name and email) so your stats follow you across devices.
Email sign-up
If you join the newsletter or the leagues waiting list, we store your email address to send you those emails only. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics, such as Plausible or PostHog, to count visits, puzzle starts and completions. They don’t identify you personally.
Who helps us
The site runs on Vercel and our database on Supabase. Both process data on our behalf.
